DOD: World War II Vet, POW Who Endured 'Hell Ship,' Gets CIB, Promotion, POW Medal
WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 -- The U.S. Department of Defense issued the following news: An Army veteran who served in the Pacific theater in World War II was finally recognized for his courage in a ceremony on Jan. 4. "Courage means to me that when the time came, that you were called upon to do the right thing, you did it," said Dan Crowley.
