Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Florida, issued the following statement on Aug. 1: In these unprecedented times, we must vigilantly guard the vote and honor those women on whose shoulders we stand in this quest to build a more perfect union. Today begins National Women's Suffrage Month to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women's right to vote in the United States. Without it, women had little or no say over their lives and the defining question  more
