WASHINGTON, June 4 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, is preparing to solicit proposals for the construction of a new 1,200-foot lock as part of the Lock and Dam 25 Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP). This project is critical for enhancing navigation efficiency and supporting ecosystem sustainability along the Mississippi River, approximately 61.5 river miles upstream from St. Louis, Missouri.
