WASHINGTON, May 21 -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is poised to award a sole source contract to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Department of Chemistry. This contract aims to generate and optimize high-affinity nucleic acid aptamers for the semi-quantitative detection of TFV-DP and/or TFV. These aptamers will be utilized in both plate-based assays and point-of-care (POC) platforms, significantly enhancing the CDC's capabilities in HIV prevention research. . . .
