LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 -- The California Teachers Association issued the following news release:
The top governing body of the 325,000-member California Teachers Association, the State Council of Education, has voted to support Tony Thurmond in his bid for State Superintendent of Public Instruction and Gavin Newsom for governor in the November 2018 Election. The decision came today during Council's quarterly meeting.
