WASHINGTON, July 18 -- The National Science Foundation issued the following news release:
Surrounding New Zealand is a mass of Earth's crust about half the size of Australia, the continent Zealandia (https://www.nsf.gov/cgi-bin/good-bye?http://www.geosociety.org/gsatoday/archive/27/3/article/GSATG321A.1.htm). What makes Zealandia different from other continents is that more than 90 percent of it is submerged.
