USDA Forest Service Asks Drone Operators to Stay on the Ground When Forest Service Aircraft Are Flying

TAOS, N.M., June 24 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Carson National Forest - issued the following news release:

Starting Monday June 26 through July 21, the Forest Service plans to conduct annual aerial surveys for insect and disease outbreaks on the Carson National Forest. Forest Service airplanes and helicopters regularly fly over private, state, and National Forest System lands at low altitudes to perform a variety of natural resource manageme . . .
