In a new study, scientists at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation have contributed to the discovery of a gene associated with lupus.
The gene, NCF1, is a protein that was known by researchers, but it had not previously been linked to lupus, an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system becomes unbalanced resulting in 'flares' of inflammation that damage tissue . . .
