CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24 -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools issued the following news:
Lisa Lewis was in corporate sales before becoming a mother of two boys. She stayed home to care for them. When they went to Winding Springs Elementary, she volunteered three to four days each week. "The principal at the time, Myrna Meehan, told me I was at the school so much that I should consider becoming a teacher assistant. So I took her up on it," she said.
