WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 -- Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif. (31st CD), issued the following statement on the inauguration of President Donald Trump:
"Today, I bore witness to the peaceful transfer of power--a central component to our nation's democratic process. While I respect the office of the presidency, I harbor deep concerns about the man who has assumed the position.
"Donald Trump spent eighteen months normalizing racism and sexism. He called Mexicans rapist . . .
