This week almost 13,000 Californians joined two telephone town hall meetings to celebrate President Obama's recent decision to permanently protect the state's San Gabriel Mountains as a national monument. Congresswoman Judy Chu and El Monte Mayor Andre Quintero headlined the town hall hosted in English, while Los Angeles County Supervisor-Elect Hilda Solis and Omar Gomez of the Council of Mexican Federation . . .
