WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 -- Asian Americans Advancing Justice issued the following news release:
Today, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted on a proposal that would dramatically hurt the Lifeline program, a program that provides a discounted rate for low-income individuals to access phone and internet services.
For low-income people and people of color, cuts to the Lifeline program mean communities, families, and seniors who rely on the program will lose access . . .
