WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 -- The U.S. Public Interest Research Group issued the following statement by Consumer Program Director Ed Mierzwinski:
"Richard Cordray helped establish, and then was confirmed as the first director of, the Consumer Bureau. Its accomplishments in making financial markets fair for consumers and families -- in just over 6 years, while under constant, unfounded attacks from special interests -- are simply incredible.
