Appalachian Power Workers to Travel to Florida and Georgia to Help Areas Affected by Hurricane Irma

CHARLESTON, W.Va., Sept. 11 -- Appalachian Power issued the following news release:

Workers and contractors from across Appalachian Power's service area are headed to Florida and Georgia to help repair electrical facility damage from Hurricane Irma. The assistance is part of Appalachian Power's response to a request for assistance from Georgia Power and Tampa Electric officials.
