RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 16 -- The Virginia Democratic Party issued the following news release:
Today, the Democratic Party of Virginia called on Ed Gillespie to cancel all scheduled campaign events with Vice President Mike Pence this upcoming weekend. Several minutes later, it was reported that Pence was "opening up his plans," and had cancelled his upcoming events with the Republican gubernatorial nominee.
