WASHINGTON, July 20 -- The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following news release:
Bishop Frank J. Dewane of Venice, Florida, Chairman of the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development expressed concern over the proposed U.S. House of Representatives budget resolution, which was voted out of Committee late yesterday.
