ALBANY, N.Y., Dec. 1 -- The Alliance for Quality Education issued the following statement:
The results from the Eighth Senate District are in and Democrat John Brooks has been elected. This means that the voters in New York State have elected 32 Democrats which constitutes a majority in the New York State Senate.
