BALTIMORE, July 2 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland issued the following news release:
U.S. District Judge George L. Russell III sentenced Cora Carper, age 32, of Churchton, Maryland, today to 37 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for embezzling from a labor union's political action committee.
