WASHINGTON, March 9 -- The mayor of the District of Columbia issued the following news release:
Mayor Vincent C. Gray announced today that Kaya Henderson, who since November has served in an interim capacity as chancellor of the D.C. Public Schools (DCPS), would serve in that position permanently.
"I have now worked with Kaya Henderson for several years, first in her capacity as Deputy Chancellor for the school system and, since last fall, as the Interim Chanc . . .
