ROANOKE, Va., Oct. 13 -- The city of Roanoke issued the following news release:
At a press conference held in the Police Department's Community Room today, Roanoke City Manager Chris Morrill announced that Christopher C. Perkins has been selected as Police Chief for the City of Roanoke. Perkins has been serving as Acting Police Chief since July 1, 2010.
