CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 10 -- The University of North Carolina-Charlotte issued the following news release:
The North Carolina economy is expected to decline by 3.6 percent during 2009, UNC Charlotte economist John E. Connaughton reported today in his quarterly economic forecast for the state. This follows the decline of 0.6 percent experienced during 2008.
