PALMDALE, Calif., Dec. 3 -- The city of Palmdale issued the following news release:
The Palmdale City Council selected Councilmember Tom Lackey to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for the City at the Council meeting held on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Lackey's term will run until Dec. 1, 2010 when the Council will select a new Mayor Pro Tem.
The duties of the Mayor Pro Tem are essential to assume the responsibilities of the Mayor in his or her absence.
