STARKVILLE, Miss., Dec. 16 -- Jacksonville State University issued the following news release:
Jacksonville State's Ben Tootle becomes the first player in Ohio Valley Conference history to be named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association preseason All-America first team, which was released on Tuesday by the NCBWA.
Tootle, a native of Oxford, helped Jacksonville State to the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference regular-season Championship with a Conference-rec . . .
