DELAND, Fla., Jan. 5 -- Volusia County issued the following news release:
The window of opportunity is slowly closing for Volusia County homeowners to receive My Safe Florida Home grant assistance to strengthen their homes against high winds. The program was created by the Florida Legislature in 2006 to provide free wind inspections and grants to homeowners living in single-family, detached, site-built homes.
