BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 19 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Louisiana Agricultural Statistics office issued the following press release:
Louisiana Crop Prospects
Hurricane Gustav hit Louisiana's farmers hard across most of the state. Although all crops took a hit from the hurricane, the total damage is still being assessed and we will have a better perspective on the crop damage next month.
