BATON ROUGE, La., Nov. 17 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Louisiana Agricultural Statistics office issued the following press release:

Louisiana cotton producers have continued to feel the effects of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike as harvest season comes to an end. NASS is estimating cotton production at 280,000 bales, down 40,000 bales from last month. Most producers throughout Louisiana felt the effects from the storms as crop yields ar . . .
