ROSELAND, N.J., Nov. 20 -- Essex County issued the following news release:
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. said on Thursday, November 20th he supports Governor Jon Corzine's proposal to defer up to 50 percent of State pension costs for Counties and Municipalities and urged State lawmakers in the Senate and Assembly to approve the necessary legislation. The proposed pension deferral plan would save Essex County about $14 million in 2009.
