COUNTY HOLDS LINE ON 2008 TAX RATE

WOODBURY, N.J., March 5 -- Gloucester County issued the following news release:
The county's 2008 tax rate will remain at 2007 levels, or 51.09 cents, under the budget to be introduced by the Gloucester County Board of Freeholders tonight. Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney said that the tax rate, which was cut by the Freeholders in 2006 and 2007, remains below that of 1968 levels.
"The budget process is a difficult one, especially when we see ratable growt . . .
