DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 21 -- Iowa Workforce Development issued the following news release:
Iowa's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent in October from 4.2 percent in September. The statewide jobless rate was reported at 3.8 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate climbed to 6.5 percent in October, its highest level since 1994.
