ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 4 -- Former New York State Assemblyman Paul Tonko, the Democratic nominee in New York's 21st Congressional District, issued the following statement:
"I support the action taken by the House of Representatives yesterday to pass the Economic Stability Act. Although I strongly disagree with several aspects of this legislation, these actions are necessary to ensure the continued flow of credit that allows families to buy homes and send their children to college . . .
