WASHINGTON, April 3 -- The Health Forum issued the following news release:
WellPoint Inc. yesterday announced it will not reimburse for 11 preventable adverse events, as defined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and National Quality Forum. The events are surgery performed on the wrong body part or patient, object left in the body during surgery, air embolism or blockage, blood incompatibility, urinary or vascular catheter-associated infection, pressure ulcers, ch . . .
