BRUSSELS, Belgium, Aug. 27 -- The European Union's European Council issued the following press release:
The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union has decided to convene an extraordinary meeting of the European Council on the crisis in Georgia. The meeting will take place from 15.00 to 18.00 on 1 September 2008 at the Council's Justus Lipsius building, 175 rue de la Loi, Brussels.
