CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Dec. 4 -- The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign issued the following news release:
Ian Clausen, a senior in religious studies and English at the University of Illinois, has been named a Marshall Scholar.
Each year, 40 students from the United States are selected as Marshall Scholars to study at a university in the United Kingdom for two years.
Clausen is the first U. of I. student to receive a Marshall scholarship in 10 years . . .
