ALFRED, N.Y., Jan. 26 -- Alfred State College issued the following news release:
The Alfred State College men's basketball team remained perfect in Western New York Athletic Conference play and won its sixth straight game Saturday, 58-48 over Jamestown CC. With the win the Pioneers improve to 14-4 overall (3-0 WNYAC) while the Jayhawks fall to 10-11 (3-3 WNYAC).
The Pioneers used a 11-0 run in the closing minutes of the 1st half to take a 31-25 lead at the break but . . .
