ALFRED, N.Y., Jan. 19 -- Alfred State College issued the following news release:
Jordan Hughson (Holley) was earned an 8th place finish at the annual New York State Championships this weekend at the University of Buffalo. As a team, Alfred State finished 17th overall and 3rd in the NJCAA standings.
Hughson pinned Brandon Stark (Ithaca) in 3:32 in his opening match. He fell in the quarterfinals to Wala Canario (Oneonta) but rebounded with a 8-2 win over Eddie Broderi . . .
