ALBANY, N.Y., July 2 -- Assemblyman Robert K. Sweeney, D-Babylon (11th District), issued the following press release:

A bill now passed by both houses of the New York State Legislature will require persons convicted of three federal sex offenses to register as sex offenders in New York State and that information will be available to the public.
