ALBANY, N.Y., June 24 -- Assemblyman David R. Townsend Jr., R-Kirkland (115th District), issued the following statement:
"Today's lackadaisical, valedictory session of the New York State Assembly represents a failure of nerve on the part of the Assembly Majority and its leadership. Steps could have been taken to relieve New Yorkers' sky-high fuel costs, solve the property-tax crisis, and provide affordable health care access to the Empire State's ailing families.
