WACO, Texas, Dec. 18 -- Chadron State College issued the following news release:
Valdosta State (13-1) earns the No. 1 spot in the final American Football Coaches Association Top 25 Poll after defeating Northwest Missouri State 25-20 in the Division II National Championship Saturday.
The Bearcats (12-2) are second, Grand Valley (12-1) dropped to No. 3, California (Pa.) is fourth with a 13-1 record, and Chadron State ends its season at No. 5 for the second straight y . . .
