LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 30 -- The University of Kansas issued the following news release:
The University of Kansas debate team has kicked off the 2008 spring semester with a No. 1 overall ranking in the National Debate Tournament varsity debate after strong showings at several tournaments.
In the NDT varsity rankings KU leads Emory University, second; Harvard University, third; Northwestern University, fourth; and Wake Forest University, fifth.
